EDMR Consultation for Certification & Integrative Practice
I offer EMDR consultation for therapists seeking depth, clarity, and confidence in their EMDR practice - particularly those working with complex trauma, dissociation, and parts work.
My consultation style is collaborative, clinically grounded, and paced to support both competence and sustainability. Whether you are working toward EMDRIA Certification or want stronger case conceptualization and steadier clinical footing, consultation provides a thoughtful space to reflect on your work and deepen your skills.
Consultation Hours & EMDRIA Certification
As an EMDR Consultant in Training (CIT), consultation hours earned with me count for up to 15 of the 20 consultation hours required toward EMDRIA Certification, in accordance with EMDRIA guidelines. The remaining required consultation hours are completed with an EMDRIA Approved Consultant. I’m happy to help you think through how to structure consultation in a way that supports both your clinical development and certification goals.
I am an EMDR Consultant in Training (CIT) through the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA). As a Consultant in Training, I am actively completing the advanced consultation requirements set by EMDRIA while providing consultation at a reduced rate in accordance with approved guidelines.
I work with consultees who want:
My consultation approach reflects how EMDR is practiced in real-world clinical settings, where nervous system regulation, pacing, and relational dynamics are essential.
An Integrative Consultation Approach
While EMDR consultation often focuses on protocol adherence, my consultation integrates multiple clinical lenses that are essential when working with complex presentations.
In consultation, we may explore:
Consultees seek me out specifically because parts work is explicitly welcomed and integrated in my EMDR Consultation.
Culture, Context, and Power in EMDR Consultation
In my consultation work, I hold a clear awareness that EMDR therapy does not happen outside of culture, identity, or systems of power. Clients’ experiences of trauma - and clinicians’ experiences of practicing - are shaped by race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic position, ability, religion, and other lived contexts, as well as by experiences of marginalization or privilege.
Consultation is a space where we can thoughtfully consider how these factors intersect with case conceptualization, readiness, resourcing, and processing - without reducing complexity or striving for a single “right” way of working. My approach invites curiosity, humility, and reflection, recognizing that culturally responsive EMDR practice is an ongoing, evolving process rather than a fixed competency.
